Shall we introduce ourselves? I’d love to get to know more about each of you.
I’m Michelle, an Organisational Psychologist, author, and coach, and the creator of this Substack newsletter, Good Girl Deprogramming. I’m based in Newcastle upon Tyne, in the Northeast of the UK.
I launched this space to help women break free from societal expectations and rediscover their true selves. Over the years, I’ve worked with leaders, teams, and individuals, guiding them to challenge ingrained beliefs and embrace authenticity.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about visiting castles, bakeries and beaches. I love going on road trip adventures, chilling with a good book/audiobook (dystopian/sci-fi is my favourite) and spending quality time with my partner James, my 14-year-old son Oliver and our various animals.

Hi! I'm Lorna and I work with Michelle on Good Girl Deprogramming - never have I needed a book so much as this and I'm making steps (some small, some large) to rebel woman. And also getting frustrated and angry with myself when I default into that Good Girl Conditioning - Arrrgh.
