Welcome to Good Girl Deprogramming 🌟

Welcome to Good Girl Deprogramming, a vibrant and supportive community dedicated to helping women break free from societal expectations and rediscover their true selves. This is more than just a newsletter—it's a movement. Here, you'll find stories of resilience, tools for transformation, and the encouragement you need to shake off the "Good Girl" conditioning and step into your full power.

About Me

Hi, I’m Michelle Minnikin. I’m a Chartered Organisational Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in leadership development and personal growth. Throughout my journey, I've seen firsthand how societal pressures can stifle women's potential, keeping us small, compliant, and exhausted.

But here's what I've learned: there's another way to live. Through self-awareness, resilience, and the courage to challenge ingrained beliefs, we can deprogram ourselves from the societal scripts that no longer serve us. My mission is to empower women to live their most authentic lives, both personally and professionally, free from the chains of coercive control.

Through Good Girl Deprogramming, I’m here to help women:

  • Recognise the subtle and not-so-subtle ways society conditions us to stay small and compliant.

  • Find their "rebellion gang"—a circle of supportive women committed to breaking free of these outdated norms.

  • Reclaim their authenticity and live boldly, unapologetically, and powerfully.

Community Guidelines

In this space, we prioritise respect, authenticity, and the courage to set boundaries. Here’s what we expect from everyone:

  • Respect First: Respect for yourself and others is non-negotiable. This means being honest and direct while recognising that everyone here is on their own journey. Advocate for yourself without feeling pressured to prioritise others' comfort over your own needs.

  • No People Fixing or Unsolicited Advice: This is a space for exploration, not for being fixed. Offering unsolicited advice often places an additional burden on women and detracts from the power of simply being heard. Let’s honour each other's autonomy and allow space for reflection without jumping in to fix things.

  • Engagement Encouraged: Disagreement is welcome—respectful, constructive discussion helps us grow and rethink our perspectives.

  • Boundaries Are Essential: Setting boundaries is a form of self-care. We support your right to prioritise your needs and will respect those boundaries.

See you in the community!
